Sam’s will has left Port Charles with two stranded children and three fathers about to battle on General Hospital.
Daddy Dearest
Alexis (Nancy Lee Grahn) has just discovered in Sam’s (ex-Kelly Monaco) will that she named Drew (Cameron Mathison) the legal guardian of not only his daughter Scout (Cosette Abinante), but also Danny (Asher Antonyzyn, who recently dished on what makes his GH role extra special), her son with Jason (Steve Burton). She wondered alongside her ADA daughter Molly (Kristen Vaganos) why Sam did what she did, noting her will hadn’t been updated in years – long before her relationship with Dante (Dominic Zamprogna) or Jason’s return.
Between Drew and Jason’s constant rivalry and Dante’s determination to keep the family he created with Sam together, there may be a three-way custody battle ahead.
Who Should Win?
In one corner, we’ve got Drew, who would normally be an excellent choice of guardian if it weren’t for two things: first, his recent Congress win that’s going to send him to DC; and second, his preoccupation with his continuous affair with Willow (Katelyn MacMullen). And knowing Port Charles, Drew may have another child on the way while he’s fighting for his daughter.
Next is Jason, who has been Danny’s pick to live with since his mom’s passing. While Jason has always kept his distance from both Danny and Jake (ex-Hudson West) in order to keep them safe, now may be the perfect opportunity to raise Danny, something he never had a chance to do with either of his sons.
Last in the ring is Dante, who is undoubtedly the most levelheaded choice to parent Sam’s kids. Despite not being the biological father to either, he’s acted as more of a father to them in recent years than Drew or Jason, and has already been living with them while parenting Rocco (Finn Francis Carr).
